New Year New Goals

I have so many new goals that I want to accomplish this year. So many in fact, that I have spent the first few days a bit overwhelmed with all that I want to do. You know what though. Having plans is good. Stressing out about them isn’t.

You have to take each one with baby steps. We have all heard the expression- How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. That is how I am approaching the new year. Here are a few of my goals for 2013

  • Getting Healthy {notice I didn’t say lose weight} For me this time it is about a lifestyle change. One healthy choice at a time. Not another crash diet.
  • Being More Organized- One closet at a time, it doesn’t all have to happen in one week!
  • Growing the Blog- Letting God have the say. Doing my part without stressing about the numbers.
  • Being More Consistent- I have a bad habit of being a yes girl. Signing up for every challenge and being stretched too thin. I am going to be choosing more cautiously in 2013 what I commit to.

These are just my personal goals. Of course we have our family goals in addition to this. As crazy as it sounds we have been really feeling like our family was supposed to lean towards a more vegetarian lifestyle. This won’t be an overnight change and I don’t think we will ever be completely vegetarian. We are cutting down and cutting out certain meats. For starters we are cutting all pork, and cutting back on most of the others as well. I have done this before {not as faithfully as I would have liked} We really saw great improvements with how we felt.  If you are following me on Pinterest I have a vegetarian board that I will be pinning recipes to. We have finally found a protein shake that we ALL like. All 4 of my tiny tots want it for breakfast every day. It is healthy and full of good stuff for their little bodies. I found a product I believe in and it is working for us as a family. No more chemical based diet junk. I am super busy so being able to grab a protein shake or bar for breakfast or lunch works really well for me.

    I’m glad you are liking your drink! I have been vegetarian/vegan since the spring and I feel great. My husband is about 99% with me and my kids, well, we’re working on it!! :) Baby steps!

      We are taking baby steps for sure. It takes time to get things switched over. Good to know who I can call for new recipes :)
