My August 3 in 30 Goals:
- I restarted my diet. It is a diet that I did last year and lost 65 pounds before our cruise, but I have gained back more than I would like to admit. So, it is time to get back to it! I do really well as long as I don’t cheat, and putting this out there for all of y’all to read is going to make it very easy to NOT cheat!! So my 1st goal is to stay faithful and not cheat. I have not cheated at all and I am down 11pds in 2 weeks. I leave for DFW next weekend though for a conference. The plan is to stay on track while there, but lets be honest a road trip is not the best place for strict diets. I will try to stay on target as much as possible though!
- To memorize scriptures. I have never been very good and memorizing full scriptures. I can give you summaries, but I want to know them word for word. The verse I memorized this week was – Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the rock, His works are perfect, and all His ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.
- Getting my family on a set bedtime. Last month one of my goals was to start waking up before the kids to have my quiet time.I have done pretty well with that, but now I need to get our bedtime on a routine. I want to have “me” time at the end of the day to unwind and have time with my husband with out constant inturruption. I think it is important for us to have time together each night, and with the kids staying up as late as we do, it just is not happening often enough. With school starting the kids have been in bed by 8:30 every night and asleep by 9. This has been wonderful!! I love having time with my hubby to talk about the day and spend some quality time together. I have been getting up every morning between 6 and 6:30. I have gotten to where I crave that quiet time.
